looks like they used both 1 and 2 for source material.

That, looks, terrible.
Also, why is this happening.
Without Bruce Campbell even.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

idk. doesnt look too promising to me either. i think Campbell is in the producing credits. i remember awhile ago they said we were going to get either an Evil Dead 4, Freddy vs Jason vs Ash, or a remake...looks like they took the easy way out

Cabin In the Woods was pretty damn close to a remake of Evil Dead.
More like a reimagining than a remake though I guess, same cabin, celler door, general theme and feel, just with a way left field twist.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

i noticed that too. as much as i think the remake will suck, ill watch it anyways :/ i have a feeling they wont even touch the comedic aspect of the original and try for a balls-out gorefest..at least im hoping. i think its fucking hopeless without campbell tho.

It will definitely be a gore fest instead of a campy goofy humour romp.

Agreed.
At least they kept the tentacle rape.

Did you notice the whiteboard in Cabin in the Woods? You know the one, the betting board? Dedite was one of the options.

And last I heard, Bruce Cambell was going to be in the movie as a wizen mentor of sorts to a busty chick with a chainsaw arm. I didn't even like that idea, but no Ash? No busty, chainsaw betty? No deal.

I am going to see it on April 6th. I will be sure to let you all know what my thoughts are. It looks retardedly gory and sick but as a fan of the originals I must see it.

I'm gonna see it too, love the old ones, but I have heard good stuff about this remake actually. I remember when I was a kid back in the 90's and me and a friend watched the first movie and I had to take my bike home, through a forest road and it was dark outside and some snow came falling. Scary as shit, I have never biked that fast ever again.

I might have to go see it, I love scary films until I'm watching them...and then sleeping after...basically I don't like horror films.

Still going to see it though >.>
