So I was lead here from another forum that has unfortunately died over the years, I've been looking for a new stomping ground.
Figured maybe I'll fit in well here. we shall see, right?

Seriously though, it's neat to have members from outside the US.

By the by, do you advertise this place anywhere else?
Or do you just let people float this way and hook them when they visit.

I tried googling nerdy forums a good while back and got nothing promising, then did again not too long ago and this was one of the first that popped up.
I knew it wasn't there before so I checked it out.
I was just wondering by the way.
A lack of advertisement can easily bring the downfall of a forum.
Though, nerdtests was on a BBC news channel a few years back on a show called Click, and that didn't skyrocket our membership any.
Fresh blood is needed, for several reasons.
None of which have anything to do with the Old Gods, I swear by the wrath of Cthulu it doesn't.

I do actively try to build backlinks and such, to keep our google rating high. I'd love to advertise, but there are very few small sites in this genera, and the big ones don't care to say anything about us. Maybe if more people emailed them asking for it. *nudges member base*

Blood sacrifice for Fame?

Perhaps I shall send out a few messages to some larger sites just to see what happens.
Couldn't hurt right.

Yes, yes we have.

That's what I figure. I sent out messages to a ton of sites when I first started this place, but I think I'm going to try again soon, now that it's grown. Hopefully once they see the amount of posts and such they will take more interest.
A good thing to do would be to figure out if there is something else this place can offer aside from just a forum.
General purpose forums like this one are fine and good, and what I crave in a forum, but having an extra service offered couldn't hurt.
For example, nerdtests had exactly that, nerdy tests all over the place.
People still use the test section of the sire even though the forum is dead, but the forum was secondary there.
Maybe an expansion of the arcade section here would bring in more hustle and bustle.
Everyone craves a good browser game.
I like how you've all kept a conversation without IDK even replying. Lol material.
Quite so, but it is better than having a three post thread with nothing but hellos and welcomes, then nothing ever again.
