They are more preachy than any religion on the planet.
I got about ten seconds into that before my brain turned off and I found myself shaking my head.
Also, Pikachu is the least opressed pokemon there is.
Accept for maybe a few of the legendary ones, they are just running amok after all.

I'm not sure I'm being smothered by Pokemon blood or the underlying message
They aren't clever enough to have an underlying message.
They just blither garbage at people.

If PETA is so concerned with there being an unfair class system between humans and animals why do they still condone humans owning animals as pets.
Whether you are kind to your pet or not, you still claim ownership over another living thing.
Also, this game basically told me that it is okay for animals to maul humans because they are evil overlords.
PETA tends to lean toward it being okay for people to be mistreated as long as animals come out on top.
Not the best message to send to any kids who happen upon it.
Which they will, because its Pokemon.

Cooking Mama: Mama Kills Animals"
*snort*
But I completely agree. No one came out of a Pokemon game without having an unhealthily strong bond to a virtual creature that only exists on your tiny handheld screen.
Has PETA ever played Pokemon? I don't know about the last couple games/seasons of the show, but the old ones were all about showing your Pokemon love and respect.

Ash does the same thing with new pokemon/group of friends in the [throw dart at japanese dictionary] region

Except, they don't.Yeah Pikachu is probably the least oppressed Pokemon there is.

they've publicly stated animals should not be kept by humans, while, of course owning pets. most PETA employees/volunteers are hypocrytes anyways, so it's to be expected really...

It made me laugh that they ever thought they would be taken seriously.

My favourite thing about PETA was when someone called them on having a giant seaside (I believe it was seaside) main HQ that resembled a luxury resort/spa, and they are a non-profit organization/ Their only defense was, "Well we need a big serious building to operate out of or no one will take us seriously on a global scale.".
It made me laugh that they ever thought they would be taken seriously.
