So by trade I am an embroiderer, pretty cool, I know.
A while ago I began making nerdy patches for myself for purely self indulgent reasons.
Then I was informed of etsy.com and what it was all about.
So now I have a shop there and sell my patches to nerds worldwide.

Those are pretty awesome. Good pricing on them too.

I do what I can, and some people are bonkers with thier pricing in there.
There is a guy selling a Majoras Mask patch that is three inches wide for twenty five dollars.
It is pretty nice looking, but it isnt worth more than six or seven bucks in reality.

I am going to post a seperate listing for the ninja turtle ones and sell all four of them for twenty dollars, group discount sort of thing.

As for the team fortress idea, I will add it to my incomprehensibly massive list of patches that I plan on making sooner or later.
I always welcome suggestions for new patches though.
I have sold a handful of them already and the wider my selection the better I will do methinks.

I am probably going to post new and upcoming patches on here just for shit and giggles, and so I can show of my new wares to fellow nerds.

Just added this patch to my available list yesterday.
I also have a War Machine one that I will be adding soon.
Same patch really, just different colours.

How many of these are you selling?

As many as I can.
My supplies are pretty much limitless and I make all of my patches to order.
So I just keep my inventory listed on etsy as having five available so the patch stays listed if I sell a few.
When my listed number gets low I just bump it back up and keep on selling.

If my pay cheque comes in this month or next month I'll try and get at least one. I like the Adipose badge. If you ever make some Portal related stuff let me know, I'll have to grab a few then.

I took this picture to set as the background on my phone, and to crop and make a banner for my etsy shop.

I forgot about it and just rediscovered it, and figured I may as well post it on here so you guys can see a tonne of the patches I have made that I plan on putting on etsy sooner or later.
I would sit down first, there is so much nergasm in this picture someone is likely to get hurt.

I just run my sales through etsy.com.
Maybe somewhere down the line I will have my own website where I can offer my patches.
For now, etsy offers mass exposure that i wouldn't get on my own.

That's true, but I figured if you had your own site, you could link it on etsy (and business cards, etc) and then make money through ads as well.

I'm impressed, once I'm working again I'll have to pick a couple up. I would love to see Fallout Brotherhood of Steel patches.
