lol.

i also want to note for anyone unfamiliar, this is a fan update of Half Life. it's free and only requires Source SDK Base 2007, which is free from Steam (you'll find it under tools in your library).

i hate my internet connection. besides the at least five hours for the sdk, the torrent alone will be seven. had to pause the torrent cause wow at 1200+ms isn't fun. hopefully it'll be done tomorrow.

When I first saw Gassy Mexican (on YouTube) start playing Black Mesa, I started getting more interested in the Half-Life franchise. I already had HL2 from the Orange Box that I got for Christmas, but I only played it on Synergy, a mod that makes Co-Op campaigning possible for free. After I saw this mod in play, I actually got more interested in playing the Single Player campaign of all of the games. What delayed it was the fact that at the time I was still really new to FPSs, and I saw what the original HLS looked like and it looked LIKE CRAP. Now that the visual effects have been refurbished, so to speak, with this mod, I think that I'm ready to try this out. Now off to find a few loose dollars and get me Half-Life Source! Unless there has already been a free-code distributing thing around and I'm too much of a shmuck to see that!
