The race really depends on what you'd like to do. But more than anything I suggest just looking through them until you find one you enjoy.

a troll? i'd assume you'd be able to kill one off the bat, it'd just be hard to do so. i honestly didn't start the collection till after i was level 10. i'm almost level 27 now.

you know, i honestly didn't give the races a once over when i started. i knew immediately that i was gonna be an argonian archer/kleptomaniac. i'll have to go through and see.

do you have any idea how you'd like to play? mostly magic, or sneaking, or dual weilding, or archery, or two handed and such?

that said, don't think you have to go a certain race to do certain things. you can be a dark elf heavy armor specialist or an orc mage all you want.

my personal favorite is the argonians. the picture on that page doesn't do them justice, but nords have the best looking female models, i think.

honestly, it's still an awesome looking game without the high res packages. bethesda just released it because people with high end machines wanted it. before mod makers had done it.

after i crashed, i decided to take a quick break. i'll try playing again later to confirm it is that, and not skyui and skse.

i've honestly really only been to the first one and riften. i made it to another city, but i only went to do some of the small jobs for the thieves guild >_> haven't explored it.
