not gonna lie, i've been trying to destroy a save file for the last two hours trying to recreate this or getting lydia to mess up at all for me. >.o

i dun blame you about being worried about saves, though. but honestly, just become paranoid like me and have three or four save files per character (not counting auto/quick). >__>

yeah, when i disabled mine she reverted to default. then returned to the ponytailed pretty version when reactivated.

check for the mesh file. skyrim/data/meshes/actors/character/facegendata/facegeom/skyrim.esm/000a2c8e.nif (358KB)

Honestly this game is giving me a worse headache than wow, and that is saying something.

I honestly have no fucking clue how to work it.
There are ZERO instructions, I've put both .exe's in my folders.. all it tells me for both is that there's no gamemaster.esm file and then it shuts down.

I tried disabling bella's mod..
Didn't do much to her, just made her face darker.
Made my elf hideous tho.. <__<

I'm wondering if somehow the caliente file is overwriting her default making the beaut mod not work.
It asked to install a texture file to reduce the seam on the necks of npcs..

Maybe it screwed it up somehow.

I'm going to try to uninstall all 4 of them, see if I can get her to default, then install the body/lydia mod again and see what happens.

Apparently by default the nmm adds the pony tail version.

hrm, i dunno. but i do know that when you install cbbe, you need to look in your data/caliente tools folder for TexBlendLite folder and run texblend.exe then it'll do the rest. this just closes a seam between necks.

Yeah, something is going wrong with the beaut itself.

I uninstalled everything until I got to base Lyd.
Put in the body, then the body texture, then the face, then the face texture, then beaut Lyd.
Once I put that in she got ridiculous.

Also, her body form never stops being shapely as far as I can tell..
And eventhough I uninstalled Beaut through nmm it still asked to overwrite it when I reinstalled it.

This mod helper sucks.
I did a better job by hand.
The only thing that fucked my game up was the shadow fixes.

I found the file that's making her hair act that way.
Data>Meshes>actors>character>facegendata>facegeom>skyrim.esm.

And as far as the mods I have, they are 90% little things.
Prettier snow..
More flowers..
Glow for my arrows so I don't lose them..
Glow on books I haven't read.
2 gear mods to overwrite gear sets.
1 new armor mod for lydia.
Alchemy leveling properly.
Better map..

These things shouldn't be affecting the game in this manner.

And when I did them by hand I had 0 issues.
Until I tried to alter the code to fix the shadows, then everything got fucked up.

yeah, i think that's how she always is. i think her weight slider is set to max. she's much more busty than most other npcs.

yeah, i honestly think that when you tell it to uninstall, it keeps the shit in place and just deactivates it. hell, even deleting it left some shit.

honestly, i'd keep doing them by hand if i were you, then. i'll admit i just use it out of laziness, but i still do some of the mods by hand. just use the nmm to help sort your load order.

II deactivated EVERYTHING except my animal mods, my thieves guild armor, the armor I made her, and my hair mod and that's what I got.

Something isn't setting her to default.
I had to manually delete the housecarl file myself but there's something leftover.

I have no idea what it is.
I still see bits and pieces of other mods as well.

I would just dump out the whole goddamn data folder if I wasn't worried it would screw up my toon again.

I thought it was texture left over from the bella mod..

Then I'm really not sure where to go from here.

also, i just thought of something. you may be seeing left over artifacts of other mods since you're outside. go inside (a house, store, something) and use the console command "pcb" as this will remove your cell buffers and clear the memory. should get rid of extra stuff you see.

Well, I tried everything I could think of.

I backed up all my saves and tried using my old data folder after every different kind of mod insert was tried to fix the issues and nothing worked.
The old data folder replicated the same bug and detexurized my shrouded armor again.

I'm just gonna go ahead and call this a loss.

I modded wow and Oblivion fine, I don't know what happened to this game.

I don't really care to keep playing while it's bothering me more than making me enjoy it tho.

I'll just uninstall it completely and 6 months down the line if I decide to, I'll start fresh all over again.

I will not be using the NMM tho.

At all.
OBMM worked like a charm even after installing a few mods by hand.. this one tho..this one sucks donkey balls.
