let's overkill this a bit.
in game, go to your menu. select save. select [save new game]. this should create a new numbered entry.
confirm that it did, then try this:
open the console. type in, not the quotation marks though, "save Vlandra"
i hope i spelled her name right. if not, you get the jist i think. this should create a new save file with her name.

i'm hoping so. please make sure to use two of those save files now (preferably the two newest ones) when you save for her, just in case. don't need another scare like this again. testing to make sure that worked gave me a new save file for my argonian, too >.> it would seem you have them being backed up regularly if you only lost about two hours worth, so keep doing that, as well.

I just don't understand why it can't save per character, rather than overwriting every bottom save..

Also, all I need is the saved folder backed up to get me back to where I was progress-wise yes?
And mah lewts will be there?

i'm not gonna lie, i'm not sure, either, bubbie. i can understand "sharing" the auto and quick saves to lessen the strain, but a bug like this is kinda shitty. not gonna lie, i'm going to create a save file through console commands for any character i make now so i can control the file name. i'd honestly suggest you and anyone else do the same.

as far as my understanding goes, yes. just like i said, make sure you have the mods reinstalled beforehand.
and make sure you're logged out somewhere that's not from a mod (like your downloaded homes).

speaking of mods, another thing. since it's almost the end of the month, i highly suggest you make a copy of your download history through skyrim nexus. unless you're a premium member, it'll only show downloads for that month.

should be the correct page. copy them all, save a txt file. hell, send me the list as a pm if you wanna make sure not to lose them. but this will make it easier to track them down again and means you're not relying on memory.

Yeah I had ss'd nmm.

Someone mentioned if you have a save with corrupted files, which I assume is what I have, that uninstalling and reinstalling won't fix anything.
I know the data folder was modded obviously..
I have a few files in the skyrim folder itself and in failed attempts to fix the shadows had to alter both skyrimprefs.ini and the skyrim.ini.

Will they be loaded back the way they were when I reinstall?

i can't reliably say one way or the other on that. sorry
but with the number of mods you have, it's possible you may just have load order conflicts. it's hard to say, though.

i think those two files will be recreated if you reinstall. if you're wanting to, you can try and back them up as just in case for later.

I read that with the skyrim update, any textures that are 1024 have errors with the game itself and cause the stripping of textures I had been receiving.

it's a very pretty dress. sucks that players have to use mods to get it, though. it's only used by one npc in the entire game >.o
i haven't seen the translucent one, though <___< i bet that's real pretty.

took me a few minutes to get all the details correct, but i had to use console commands. i picked Muiri's pockets to take her wedding ring so she didn't lose it, then used the console command to remove all of her items from her inventory. then i put it back and had to use another console command to get her to equip the dress. this was the annoying part, cause i had to guess which id for fine clothes equaled the one changed into the dress >.>
when you get around to changing your wife's clothes, i'll be sure and help ya out.
