Building your own desk - Who has? I cheaped out . . .

Here is my current setup (roughly);
6ft x 3 ft plastic, concession stand tables - 3 of them in a big U. My left side of the U has my work bench. This has a KVM, Dedicated Monitor, dedicated power strip, dedicated switch and so forth. This left side is also used for my Laptop which has a 1920x1080 screen dedicated for it as well. The middle of the U is my main desk, which has more controls than I thought i'd ever have and my triple monitors for my main desktop PC. The right side of the U is mainly for organization and paperwork. Underneath the sides, I've got bins and such.
Here are a few pictures - its old, i've recently updated it quite a bit as I am still experimenting (like drilling holes through the plastic tables to give cable drops and manage them more effectively).
Anyway, I will most likely be switching to RED LED's and Lights this up coming week or so, and moving more towards a Frank 'n' Stein feel and color scheme.

the hutch now sits at the end of the bed, because it wasn't the right shape to fit both my monitors and other things. which is nice, as I now have my TV on the wall above my desk, and my 360 behind one of my two monitors. (though, might get rid of the TV, and run the xbox off the second monitor, since the monitors are 1080p and the TV does 720 max.
I have sketched desk ideas before, but in reality, what I'd have to do is take a day and go to a hardware store, and just look at the building supplies they have. See if I get inspired from those.

I have a design in the back of my mind for a mega awesome computer/writing desk that will rival the great pyramids of anywhere.

What exactly do you want with a death ray? :xI really don't know how, but I misread this as "Building your own deathray". I was really excited until I realized this thread was about desks.

I'd imagine if you owned a death ray you'd get a good amount of uninvited guests trying to play with it. <_< I'll stick to being death-ray-less.Who doesn't want a death ray?
