I'm not a big fan of Stephen King.

I dunno, he just can't create the imagery I need to keep me interested I guess.

I do however want to expand my collection again.

So if anyone has any suggestions, I'd like to hear em.

Free or otherwise.

This made me laugh as I dislike King for the opposite reason, he uses too much damn imagery, too many adjectives, spends too much time on one damn lamp.

Dean Koonte is the poor man's King. I've only read his Frankenstein series. Well, most of it, but it's solid. Neil Gaiman’s American Gods and Good Omens are awesome and hilarious respectively. That’s about all of the more mainstream authors I read, non-fantasy wise.

As far as free, download the classics. I own two physical copies of Alice In Wonderland, but I still put one on my Nook. Same with Dracula, Golden Bough, and Manfred. The Tempest is my favorite Shakespeare. The story’s solid, but if you read up on the Bard it makes the play a thousand times better.

But it's boring.

After you get through with one chapter about how the neighborhood looks, you're just exhausted and uninterested.

At least I am.

I want to be brought into the story, not bludgeoned to death by it.

You know, Dracula is the first book I read on it.

I didn't like it, not at all.

I thought the movie was much more interesting and didn't drag on with so much filler.

To each is own tho.

I do enjoy classics, thank you. :)
