So Amazon's EC2 Cloud Servers have a Free Tier

Everyone who's made an amazon account since Oct 2010 has access to 1 year of free EC2 service. I'm paying about $6/month for mine because I added extra HD space, but even without the "Free Tier" it'd only be around $20/month.

If you're considering virtual server hosting in that price range, I'd recommend checking it out. You can't beat free, and you're pretty much guaranteed not to ever suffer downtime or data loss.

Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Free is always good, I'll look into what they offer.

Too bad I can't remember the password for my old account. I never bought anything, but I used to have an account, for wish lists and stuff like that.
