24 years US Military.. My opinion... its your religion.. practice it. Everyone has the right to freedom of oppression, to live life, and to be happy, again, in my opinion.

I have faith (lol) that this can be an adult and respectful discussion.
Personally agnostic, but I can appreciate cultural aspects of religion. For example, the meaning behind some holidays are really quite beautiful. I wish that the secular/interfaith world would adopt universal days of self-reflection, forgiveness, and acceptance of the positive and negative. It's very healthy to take time to process these things consciously and be able to move forward with a clean slate or a clearer view, inwardly and outwardly.
If there was a button where I could keep all the cultural aspects of religion on earth and remove the theistic qualities, I would slam that button harder than I'd punch Trump in the face and that says something.

I was a devout Catholic up until I reached my teens. Fell in love, got told said love was something God would punish me for, walked away from the religion.
I dabbled in other religions mostly as a learning process and in an effort to learn more about myself. For a while I identified as a Satanist (LaVeyan), though after some time I realised just how full of hypocrisy it was. Dabbled with Wicca, but I think that's something almost every edgy teen girl does. I'm intrigued by the subject, but not to the extent I can apply myself to its beliefs wholesale.
My personal opinion on religion is that it's stupid and exists solely to prey on the masses of sheep who can't manage life without believing there's something more. But at the same time I think that if that's what somebody needs to get them through life, then I can't mock that. Walk the road you want to walk.

I can see how you went from being a Catholic to Satanism though because it was like a rebellion, right? I kind of thought about trying that when I was a teenager, but I got distracted by a girl I had a crush on who was a very devout Christian. I guess I kind of rededicated my life to Christ at that point. After high school, I began to realize that God wouldn't answer my prayers anymore.
At this point, I don't think about religion that often and I ask questions about the Bible to other Christians like:
"Where did Cain's wife come from?" or "Did Noah have termites on his ark?"
On the other hand, if someone held a gun to my head, then I would probably say "Oh, please Jesus, don't let me go to hell!"

What is wrong with mine? Do you like wearing shoes? Get your hands on some glass in the ocean, my man!
The wish is my darling.

The poll is void due to the fact that it lacks the Jedi Faith.

Hey! I'm a jedi too! What color is your lightsaber? Not sure who this "Allah 'el Luke" is, but for some reason, there has recently been an increase in Stormtroopers on my planet. I guess we need the extra protection.
