I honestly don't know. Its a reaction my body has when I eat cucumbers. I would eat them and get painful hiccups. So weird.

i used to get hiccups when i drank any strong alcohol but i got over that

It was something my grandmother always use to do and it was the only thing that would stop my hiccups so I could enjoy the cucumber.
I'm sure there's other ways you could enjoy the cucumber
