Dumb people are dumb, and they deserve patience and eventually a slap in the head.

I worked in a restaurant a while back and my entire day was filled with fellow employees and customers who would fit right in with your boss.

I would just go sit in the fridge for a while and eat pickles from a five gallon pail when I was getting to the point where I was going to strangle someone due to their stupidity.

I am assuming you don't have a walk in fridge or five gallons of pickles, so you may have to discover your own cool off zone to disappear to when murder is afoot.

Freezer pickles sound wonderful, I'll have to find a suitable replacement.

The computer chick that came in today that I was so excited to meet so I could ask her all kinds of questions is an Apple fan girl,

How fucking disappointing.

Again, I don't know where the anger thread is.

But last night comcast calls me while I'm having dinner with my kids.

I tell them I'm busy and can't talk and they start trying to push the conversation saying "If you'll only give me 60 seconds.." so I hung up.

I called back to get taken off the sales pitch list and FINALLY get someone I can understand and he's a giant fucking prick and then proceeds to put me on hold where the music literally sounds like it's in some backwards ass jungle with a bunch of native people slapping their cocks across drums angrily in some fertility circle.

I finally get to someone who I can barely understand and she proceeds to try to sell me shit as I'm asking her to take me off the list to not sell me shit.

At one point I even told her "If I had any other option.. even a guy named Joe operating out of a back alley somewhere I would take it. But alas, I have you guys." didn't deter her in the slightest.

Please comcast, die in a fire away from me.

I'm angry right now.
I'm angry that Roman Polanski is still alive

I'm angry that there's a petition to get him back to the US

I'm angry that people think that it's 'no big deal' that HE RAPED A CHILD

I'm angry that some of the people who signed the petition are PEOPLE I LIKE (Tilda Swinton, Martin Scorcese, Whoopie Goldberg, etc.) And thus, I can no longer support, respect, or see as ANYTHING other than rape apologists

Fuck everything.

Little slow on the uptake there, considering the petition started in 2009.

Also, the woman he raped wants him to come back to the US.

In a 2003 interview, Samantha Geimer said, "Straight up, what he did to me was wrong. But I wish he would return to America so the whole ordeal can be put to rest for both of us." Furthermore, "I'm sure if he could go back, he wouldn't do it again. He made a terrible mistake but he's paid for it."

Yeah, it started in 2009, but does that REALLY make anyone who signed it less scummy for signing a petition to let a CHILD RAPIST, mind you, back into the US?

And he's damn lucky that the woman wants him to come back to the US so that they can put this to rest.

And frankly, I don't care if he 'wouldn't do it again', the point is he did it and he should've had grievous bodily harm come to him for it.

Also, I'm angry so I probably won't mean any of this later, but I just cannot grasp someone actually signing that petition.

My boss came to me cause she was having trouble with her computer being bogged down and slow as fuck for some time now.
It's one of those all in one monitor computers.
I told her if it's running slow, she could always switch out to some upgraded ram.

Insists up and down that that's not what she needs, that she needs more space.

I told her if she needed more space, she could just get an external since she wanted to share files between out three computers anyhow.

She gets an external and expects it to work as ram.
When this doesn't happen she tries pushing the blame on to me.

Now she's "been reading up" and has decided she can get more ram because that's what the computer needs, not more space and she's trying to explain this to me like I need to be informed.

So, like.. is there a law where you can stab someone just a little?
Like when you roll up a newspaper, and you're trying to train a dog not to piss on the floor.

Can I just shank her a little?

I want to shank her a little.

I'm so angry.

I was (am) supposed to organize this weekend trip for foreign students. And now it's my fault that it's too expensive. I mean it wasn't my decision to make a 3 day trip even though there is nothing to do for one of the days.. also who would want to go to an art exhibition anyway. It's just full of fancy pants rich people.

I don't feel well, Just....Not happy at all.
I think I might be Misanthropic, but I wish I wasn't.

I don't want to hate people, I know there's good people doing good things, but uuuuughhh, people are dumb, panicky animals and you all know that. It's sort of like being torn between loving the things that people are capable of, but hating how damn near everyone seems to be awful.

It is quite alright to be annoyed with people being dumbasses, just don't let that burning itch in the back of your brain become the core of your being.

The higher ground is always the way to go.

Otherwise you will end up a crusty, cynical asshole who can't make friends because everyone's annoying quirks will drive you insane and make you act like a prick.

I have seen people who go that route and it is a shit show.

At the end of the day, you will find people who don't make you want to slap the shit out of them constantly.

Those are the keepers.

I love Physics

I love it so much that I want to have it as my career for at least a huge chunk of my life

I've wanted to obtain a PhD in physics for at least 5 years

But getting to this point has been such a struggle that there are some days where I consider quitting.

I never will actually quit, just thinking how much more simple it would be if I did.

It's just really, really hard and complicated and it's only just getting harder, I feel like I'm going about things the wrong way.

There are a few days where I wish I hadn't changed degrees from Nursing because Nursing was a serious cake-walk.

I must have an innate sense for doing things that hard way.

Because I can...

Yup physics has become the bane of my existence and that's only with experience from A-Levels.

It's less the physics and more the route I've taken to obtain my degree and by eventual extension - my PhD

I think if you really want to do something you should.

I struggle as well sometimes but then I see all these people who don't even know what they want to do with their life. And then I feel really blessed to have this passion. Even if it is a pain sometimes.

But maybe you should still think about what your goal is. I mean why do you want to get that PhD? I mean I would like to get a PhD as well but not for the degree just because research is fun. That's why I want to try to find a cool job with my masters degree first.
