I've got two parallel discussions, so I'll lay them out here.

I'm not a car nut, I just like nice cars. I don't know engines inside and out, but I know what a good one sounds like.

A. Tell me the real car/s you'd own if you had infinite money. The ridiculous, expensive, opulent masterworks that no one you even know can afford.

B. Tell me the Car/s you actually think about. These are cars you may own one day if you play the right cards. Cars you might even pick up if you get the money up soon.

I'll post mine if the thread works out.

EDIT: Added love, what do you drive NOW?

I own a Toyota Corolla, I find Toyotas "planned redundancy" to be more economically viable since they don't need to be replaced as quickly as a Ford or Nissan...

Still I have an odd curiosity over old muscle cars, most likely nurtured from years of GTA and other car related video games, they seem to touch the ground in a far more real way then sports coupes or high performance racers. It's like the line in the corner I am driving will actually have a consequence on how my acceleration and recovery out of the corner turn out. It seems counter intuitive though since the "other" cars I talked about are streamlined to stick harder to the ground the faster you are traveling.

Oh, and it has to be a manual. :-D

I'm lucky enough to have the two main cars I want not be horribly expensive.

First is the Lotus Exige

Second is the Jeep CJ8

I want an Exige pretty badly, even though I know the engine and a few other bits Essentially come out of the newever version of my Corolla.

there's a couple different cars I'd love to have.

Unleash my Inner redneck with the SVT Raptor.

Easily obtainable dream car: Lincoln LS.

Just look at that car. It's gorgeous.

Sporty classic? Buick GN.(I'd love to find the GNX, but there are so few of them, and a lot of people have taken other GN trims and dressed them up to look like the GNX trim.)

EDIT: Didn't have time to finish my post earlier, so I'm going to finish now.

My brother's friend is some well paid engineer, one of his cars is a lotus. Thing sits so low to the ground, feels awkward having like 5 inches between my balls and the pavement. x:

I'm a sucker for the American Muscle look, if I had the $$$ I'd rock an older charger or el camino. Some guy around here has a really well taken care of camino, pretty sick whip.

My neighbor just bought an el camino. It is like this blue shade and it has like flames and stuff it is real nice. My uncle that travels to places like Singapore and Malta and stuff for his job owned a lotus. Then he sold it for a better car but i forgot what it was called.

Just wait a few years, gravity will make that a familiar feeling.

Also, El Caminos are super easy to get a hold of around here.

Then I sold it for college tuition.

Now I get around on two feet and a heartbeat.

Unfortunately harsh winters (read: salt, salt everywhere) makes for finding older cars with non-fucked bodies a challenge.

Try living in Canada.

I am surprised we haven't just made our roads out of salt by now to save time and energy.

Yeah, we just have the salt air issue here, but as long as people keep their stuff clean it's not an issue. There's an elcamino rusting away behind my house actually.

I thought it was every nerds dream to own a DeLorean.

They have a great fanbase and are unique looking cars, but that's all they have going for them.

the ride quality is shit, and it was underpowered for it's target sales rivalry. They also aren't very reliable and suck back gas.

Also, I edited my post above.

If I had infinite cash:

A.
Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series
Mercedes-Benz-SL65-AMG-Black-Series-6.jp

B. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro z28 in precisely this color only I'd run it on whitewalls
186246d1246733565-1969-rs-z28-camaro-img

If I had the reasonably achievable money:
C. 1987 GMC Suburban 3/4ton with the 454, its big, comfy, mean and beautiful in a bulldozer sort of way.
87Burb.jpg

D. Mid 90's Ford Econoline conversions with the 351 Windsor(I had one, loved that boat)
phpThumb_generated_thumbnailjpg.jpeg

Finally my whip. I hate it, too small to be a tough truck and too big to be either efficient or zippy. Its just....UGH. Also mine is in that lame blue-green color that earns no respect.

E. 96 Chevy Blazer 4door.

These 3 alone would require infinite cash just to keep fueled.
