I wasn't sure whether I put this in hardware, software, or everything else...

What is the name of your computer? As in, what will show up if someone looked at the devices connected to a network? And do you name your other devices?

My computer's name is Pantalaimon, after the daemon from one of my favourite book series. I don't like to look too far into it though, because Pantalaimon is basically the main character's soul and I don't think my computer is my soul.

I've always really liked the idea of naming my iPod after a sweet dessert and having all the playlists reflect that. Then I realize a playlist called "Strawberry Sherbert" that contains all metal is a little weird.

My computer's name is Hector.

I like to name my storage devices too.
I have a USB stick name LEGO because I crafted it myself out of some old lego I had and another USB stick that had a broken casing.
My terabyte hard drive is named Glitch, which is of course Bob's keytool in Reboot.
The next hard drive I get I shall be naming Copland.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

Glitch! That's great. I had an old USB stick I had named Opael because the colour of it was a pink opal.

My old laptop is Jaz-PC [Jaz is my nickname since childhood, a shortening of full name, Jazper]

my desktop I received from spleen was already named Jaz-PC, so I got saved a step there

Playstation name cant be changed, IIRC it's PS3-Stringofnumbers on wireless networks.

Pc is named Kombatkoala. Printer is named Koala Creation's. Ipod is named Kleverkoala. >.> i like koalas

Ah also my old laptop was named KookieKoala. Sadly Kookie is no more.

It's usually my laptops that get good names. buddy had a setup that shows a PC name on his screen whenever it connects to the network, so for a while I named my laptop THE GAME.

Fun times.
