Spleen's topic got my mind boiling in regards to picking up penmanship again. I used to have absolutely beautiful handwriting due to dedicated, anal amounts of practice. Unfortunately since I left sixth form I stopped practising and now it's kinda of back to primary school standards. I figured I'd start work on my semi-new calligraphy set my Mum dug up for me on my birthday and get back to work. I'll post examples here as and when I do them.

Here's a few member's names. I actually did a page of every active member on here but most of them turned out crap so here are just a few. Eventually I'll re do everyone's, probably this weekend, and repost. On top of that I started an Anglo-Saxon manuscript as practice, besides spacing and straightness that actually went okay.

:3 I love that you put both of me there. XD

It's awesome!

I always wanted to learn, but never had the steady hands to.

I thought Tes would be unfair because it's only three letters.

Anyone who tells you calligraphy is hard is lying. It takes a lot of repetition and dedication but other than that anyone can do it with the inclination. I have an essential tremor but it doesn't effect my handwriting at all; once you start moving the pen, however slowly you should find any shakiness fades away. :)

My hand writing looks like I am being violently slapped the whole time I am writing.

I doubt I could even come close to words as pretty as those, even if there was practice involved.

I just know my limits.

I can craft my language to lovely ends, but seeing those ends on paper looks about as pretty as Bruce Jenner any time in the last five years.

These are beautiful. I've always wanted to work on my handwriting but I never got around to it. You did a wonderful job with these, though.
