If you suddenly had that kind of money, what would you do?

Travel to every country in the world, pay off my parent's mortgage, get the family house restored and done up, start a retirement fund for my close relatives and buy real estate in a few countries. =o

  1. Hire someone to manage said money.
  2. House. Nothing crazy, don't really want a huge house.
  3. Determine how much I can safely charity.
  4. (if I had enough left) Open an eSports bar/LAN center thing. I would honestly expect to lose money on it, but idgaf.

Wow, thats a lot of money.

Ive thought about if i ever won the.lottery what i would do tho.

Myrna and Franklin are easy, and its beneficial for all involved.
Her id send to Puerto Rico with my grandma, id buy her old house back so Myrna could take care of her and then have a place to stay somewhere she might be able to actually be happy at.
Franklin has always wanted to see Italy, id buy him a nice house somewhere quiet where he can live out the rest of his life in peace from whatever it is that makes him so miserable.

Kristy, i would pay off her tuition and leave enough for her to get started in nyc like she always wanted.

Friends that i have in need, or without housing would be provided the help they cant afford themselves.

Your mother, i would have the whole house redone kept the same way it is, just made sturdier and reinsulated to last another 100 years and a new truck, dodge obviously.

You i would buy back your land for you to build the house you want on it and have a scrambler hidden in the underbrush for you and leave you enough to start up your buisiness like youve wanted to.

The kids i would put enough in trust funds for them to have good lives, not spoiled lives, but they wont want for anything necessary.
Ill make sure they get the braces theyll most certainly need, get a car (nothing crazy) when theyre able to drive, and be able to go to a good school when they go to college.

For us right now, i would look for a good neighborhood in Colorado with good schools and move there into a nice house.
Buy the Yaris ive always wanted, and get some kind of fuzzy companion for us.

After they go away to school i would travel, just.. everywhere.
I would make a difference where i can, meeting new people along the way that need help, or know someonw who does.
Reading about things of that sort on reddit or the like and making annonymous donations.
I would enjoy the world and what it has to offer and possibly make it a little better in some way.

Apparently that number is equivalent to £388,302,168, that is a crazy amount of money...I sort of had to put it into perspective to realise. You know what though, apparently people who win the lottery actually end up getting really bored. I think once my travelling days were over I'd love to open a little deli cafe (I want to do this any way at some point). I'd love to do that in Colorado because it just looks like the most amazing state in America. Put it in some town in the mountains or something. But damn that'd be amazing because I could run it as efficiently as I liked, stock whatever I wanted and not have to worry about going bankrupt.

Just remember if you do, especially in the mountains, get a good warm coat.
I reccomend carhart.
Theyre incredibly warm, water and wind proof too.
I miss mine terribly.

But they have deserts too. And pine forests. PINE FORESTS, SPLEEN!

I'm going there next year for at least a month, hopefully my girlyfriend comes with me, apparently she loves mountain walking and stuff. Don't worry about the coat though, I got my 'lil Barbour coat or, failing that a giant, smelly shepherd coat that comes down to my toes.

Spleen: You can keep your hurricane dome, ill be content with snuggling with hot broads around a cozy fire and then have sexy parties with pillow fights. >.>

Gol:  That coat sounds awesome, and good luck getting to go.
Let me know how amazeballs it is please.

Heh, funny this came up, was thinking about doing a guys trip there this summer. Hands down the most beautiful place I've ever been.

I don't have any pictures at work, but here's one from the goog on my favorite trail.

loch_vale01.jpg

That lake is ~5 miles up, if you keep going there's some falls you can climb (not very big, I've seen older people in shape do it and anyone under the age of 40 should be fine to climb it if they can hike the 7 miles to get there).

sky-pond.jpg

(photo doesn't show the area you climb)

After climbing you reach sky pond.

skypond.jpg

Great place to hang out and eat or whatever before going 10 miles back down.

Photos don't really capture the beauty. About 6 miles in you go above the treeline and get a great view of the rockies as you're walking.

Plus, pots legal there and after the 1st anyone can legally buy, so there's that. (^:
