I just read this on livescience and felt the uncontrollable urge to share this with you fine level headed folk.
This both made me laugh and shake my head in bewildered confusion.

And here is their forum/website.

If the earth is round why do sky scrapers have an even base? Just as I thought, conspirators.

I knew that song would end up in this thread.

Conspiracy theories never cease to amaze me. Just the fact that people deny the Earth is round despite all the evidence. I feel like it's supposed to be a parody.

That is the best thing about conspiracy theories, they rely on being vague to ensure that they can't be disproven.

So, the existence of a god, for instance.

They've had nearly 3500 years to get a convincing argument and I'm still not convinced. >_>

That is because religious science (almost hurt me to type that monster of an oxymoron) is the science of a six year old.
My science teacher did a lesson in high school where she said " I think there is a little man inside the vending machine who takes my money and gives me the pop I want." To which everyone in the class laughed, and said that was stupid and wrong. My teacher very bluntly said "Prove it.".

That is exactly the logic that religion relies on.
I am right until I am proven wrong, only the evidence is never enough to convince them.

I would be more inclined to believe in some sort of super being before I bought in to this flat Earth business.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

I reckon any sort of god is some out of space entity, if it exists at all, based on the premise that the human brain finds it very hard to think of things it hasn't yet seen. A new colour for instance. One might say, 'oh well, what about science fiction things, Jabba the Hutt or a clone trooper,' to which I would say, those are based off existing things, slugs and Roman centurions (I think). I'm not saying there is a god or a being(s) who created us, but if there is, that's the most likely answer. I think it would be much more beautiful and amazing if we got here by accident.

Only Casio could have told us how many dimensions the Earth has.
